This beta notice explains the information Hilltop uses to provide a private visual layer over your Google Drive.
What we store
Your original files remain in Google Drive. Hilltop stores account and workspace metadata, file metadata, tags, generated descriptions and transcripts, and generated image previews used to display Drive media. Preview files are private and delivered through expiring links.
Google credentials and refresh tokens are stored encrypted. We use them to perform the Drive actions you request.
Processing providers
When you request or enable processing, audio or video may be sent to ElevenLabs for transcription, and images may be sent to Moondream for generated descriptions. Their processing is subject to their own service terms.
Access, retention and deletion
Workspace access is limited to invited users. Deleting a Hilltop item removes the corresponding generated preview where intended; it does not delete the original Google Drive file. Already issued preview links expire naturally rather than being invalidated immediately.
